Novi Sad @ night

This May 2007, Novi Sad is like no other year before. Almost every night you can hear some distant music from the Petrovaradin fortress, Strand beach, or somewhere else outside of Novi Sad city.

The reeving bikes through the tunnel and on the Freedom bridge are adding a specia spice to the hot May nights in Novi Sad.

Today, May 27, the Strand beach was like in the summer, there were people swimming in the Danube river, not just a few of them, but dozens of the bave ones. Danube was 21.7 Celsius, so cooling on this hot day in the river was goood. At night, Strand was approached with some thousand or more people that came to listen to the music and to relax before the Monday.

At the night time Novi Sad is place to be as many young people are in the pubs, bars, and discoteques all night long. For the EXIT fest, everyone move to the Petrovaradin fortress and is there until first morning light or even later if some fameous DJ is playing.

Hi folks, just to tell you that I have got 1 more apartment and 1 more room for EXIT rentals today. Apartment is for 4 to 6 people and have easy access to EXIT by bus no.3 and no. 8. Wow EXIT people, hear this!

In small private hotel close to the fortress, just some 6-7 hundred meters there are still fair priced rooms available. That is not all, there is one greater thing (but don’t say to many people) than that. Owner of this 4* hotel is giving complimentary brandy to all his guests while their stay for EXIT fest. Yes, free at all times as much as you can drink.

To see this hotel pictures click here, but again, don’t tell to many folks, just few of your friends, as there are a small number of rooms available and brandy is finest.

There is one more flat available on the second floor of this house. It is good for 6-7 people and it is so close to the Petrovaradin fortress and EXIT festival 2007, you will need no transportation but to leg it up.

Apartment on the ground floor is booked, and there is a bigger front house in this yard also rented to 15 people. If you dont mind croud, but having your own place you will enjoy your time of nice green grass patio.

My neighbours, an older couple is asked me to help them find 3 girls for EXIT fest as they have 2 rooms with three beds they want to rent.

They are asking €25 euro per person per night and rooms are available from 7th of July if you wish to come earlier.

Apartment is located on Beogradski Kej and you can see Perovaradin castle from flat. If you are interested please look on my rental page where I have placed this listing.

On Petrovaradinski Kej with vew of Petrovaradin fortress from apartment there are two rooms for rent. One room is with two beds and one with 1 bed. Owners want to rent those rooms to three girls for EXIT 2007. Apartment is in the building on 17th floor with beautifull view of the Danube and fortress.

The price is 25 Euros per person per night.

I have received quite a number of emails in last few days from journalists, photographers, and one TV crew from across the Europe as they all are looking for accommodation for EXIT fest. So I got my telephone book and called all hotels and private serviced apartments to ask for availability. On my surprise, most of them are already fully booked, some of them have still room or two available, and as a biggest surprise to me was when I asked for prices, all of them have ‘special’ (almost double) price for EXIT.

So, I decided to look for solution and called some friends in Petrovaradin living close to fortress asking them to look around, to ask their neighbors and to see does anyone is renting rooms for EXIT. And yes, most of them are renting rooms, however some have rented up-front to same people from last year, some are waiting for EXIT fans to come.

When I asked for price, all came in a range between 20 to 30 Euros per person, per night. Some people are even renting their backyards for fest, for youth to place their tents. Price, 5 – 10 Euros per tent.
